Recently, a metaphorical virus, termed “Hatred,” has emerged, posing a significant threat to the fabric of society. Unlike biological pathogens, this virus attacks the mind, rapidly deteriorating interpersonal relationships and community bonds.
It propagates swiftly, transcending individuals, groups, and communities, and knows no borders, spreading from state to state, country to country. The symptoms are severe, transforming human behavior into something unrecognizable, and eroding the innate qualities of love and humanity. Those affected by this virus exhibit extreme behaviors, far removed from the inherent nature of humans, sometimes resulting in actions associated with extremism and terrorism. This allegorical virus is more insidious than any disease we’ve faced, as it targets the very essence of what it means to be human – our ability to empathize, connect, and coexist. It is a call to action for all of us to become vigilant and work towards inoculating our societies with understanding, tolerance, and peace.
